Our focus is to help you heal, energize, and become aware of your inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a safe, non-judgmental space where we listen to your concerns, and help you live the life you have always imagined.
We believe in a holistic approach to wellness that encompasses mental, emotional, and physical health. Together, we will explore techniques that foster balance and well-being, ensuring you thrive in all areas of your life.
At Thrive Counseling Center, we treat the whole person with a collaborative approach. We value your feedback and work to engage in ongoing dialogue regarding issues, goals, and progress that encourage growth and change.
Individual Counseling is a personal opportunity to obtain guidance and learn skills you can apply to various issues in your life. We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress, relationships with food, and several other challenges and mental health issues.
Family Counseling addresses family pain, and encourages the healing of wounds. It can help families through difficult periods, major transitions, or mental or behavioral health problems within the family unit.
Relationships can be extremely challenging, and contribute to anxiety, stress and depression. Relationship Counseling is not just limited to married couples—it can be beneficial to any relationship. Anyone looking to strengthen emotional connections, communication, understanding, and seeking to thrive in a relationship can benefit from the tools and skills provided in relationship counseling.
The combination of rapid eye movement while thinking about past events in a kind of cinematic fashion—as if one’s memories were scenes from a movie—allows the brain to reprocess maladaptively filed memories.
Several of our clinicians are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
Sometimes mental wellness needs a two-pronged approach by using both therapy and medication.
While therapy is at the heart and core of achieving your goals, we also offer medication management services to determine if they are needed and continued monitoring of their effectiveness.
Tonia Erickson, DNP FNP-BC is not your average clinician. She listens, cares and will help you navigate medication options, if it is necessary. She also offers GeneSight testing to determine which medications may be the best fit for you.
Like how your unique fingerprint unlocks your phone, the GeneSight test unlocks your genetic “fingerprint”, providing insight which our clinicians can use to inform your mental health medication treatment and may improve your chances of finally feeling like yourself again.
After testing is complete you will receive a GeneSight Psychotropic report that will be reviewed by our clinician.
Using QbCheck, an FDA cleared diagnostic screening, we can test both children and adults for ADHD. QbCheck is a 15-20-minute computer-based objective test that measures core ADHD symptoms: activity, attention and impulsivity. Results are analyzed and presented in a report that compares a client's results with a group of people of the same age and gender who do not have ADHD.
Play therapy is a form of therapy used primarily for children. That’s because children may not be able to process their own emotions or articulate problems to parents or other adults.
While it may look like an ordinary playtime, play therapy can be much more than that.
We use playtime to observe and gain insights into a child’s problems and help the child explore emotions and deal with unresolved trauma. Through play, children can learn new coping mechanisms and how to redirect inappropriate behaviors.
