Medication Management for Mental Wellness

Medication Management

We believe in personalized mental health care that addresses your unique needs and goals. Our medication management services are designed to provide you with a tailored approach to psychiatric medication, ensuring that you receive the best possible care.

Comprehensive Assessment: Our process begins with a thorough assessment of your mental health needs. Your therapist and our Clinician take the time to understand your history, symptoms, and goals to create a personalized plan that works for you.

Individualized Approach: Every patient is unique, and so are their mental health needs. Our medication management plans are tailored specifically to you, ensuring that your treatment is as effective as possible.

Ongoing Monitoring and Support: Your mental health is our priority. We offer ongoing monitoring and support to ensure that your medication plan continues to meet your needs. Adjustments are made as necessary to optimize your treatment and improve your well-being.

Therapy Sessions: It is always advisable that patients who begin medication as part of their mental health treatment participate in therapy. Medication alone is rarely enough to help put one on a solid recovery path. A reliable treatment plan includes individual counseling.

GeneSight Testing

Is the GeneSight test right for you?

  • Has a medication failed you in the past?
  • Is your current medication not working?
  • Does your medication cause unwanted side effects?

Like how your unique fingerprint unlocks your phone, the GeneSight test unlocks your genetic “fingerprint”, providing insight which our clinicians can use to inform your mental health medication treatment and may improve your chances of finally feeling like yourself again.

Step 1: Your clinician collects a DNA sample in the clinic by painlessly swabbing the inside of your cheek OR your clinician can order a patient collection kit to be sent to your home.

Step 2: The sample is sent to GeneSight's lab for analysis.

Step 3:  After they receive your sample, your clinician will typically get test results in about 2 days.

Step 4: Your clinician can contact our Medical Affairs team for a consultation. Your clinician can then review the results with you on your next visit.

A Comprehensive Report, Personalized for You.

The GeneSight Psychotropic report may help you avoid multiple medication trials by providing information about which medications may require dose adjustments, be less likely to work, or have an increased risk of side effects based on your genetic information.

The report also includes information on how a patient’s smoking status may affect their body’s metabolism of certain medications.

Every patient is different, and every case of mental illness is unique. Just because one medication is effective for one person with a similar illness doesn’t mean they will have the same results for another person. With proper medication management, patients and their doctors can communicate correctly if a medication doesn’t seem to be working or triggers troubling side effects. The doctor will try to switch the prescription or even consider a different treatment route that guarantees desired results.
